Our story

David Walters founded Damer House after more than two decades at the forefront of UK real estate. Damer House provides strategic project and business advisory services to private and public sector landowners, developers, and investors. He brings over 20 years’ senior experience in UK development and investment, including leadership roles at Grainger plc and Osborne Developments, where he delivered sector firsts in Build to Rent and PBSA platforms and projects.

Drawing on this track record, David helps clients unlock project and business opportunities. This includes transactional management, structuring of successful land, development and living platforms, and the creation of partnerships and delivery models.

Creating commercially sound, sustainable projects and vehicles that deliver lasting value for investors, communities, and stakeholders.

  • Completion of first Town House led Purpose Built Student Accomodation (PBSA) project
  • Created a new Buil to Rent platform; a single entity to be developer, contractor, funder and operational manager
  • Establishment of first UK public/private partnership for Build to Rent (BTR)
  • Secured first UK Build to Rent (BTR) specific planning permission
  • Achieved first UK Design Award for a Build to Rent (BTR) project (2014 Housing Design Awards)
  • Jointly led the acquisition of the UK's first forward purchase of and entire development for BTR/PRS Housing
