Description

RBKC selected Grainger plc, to develop seven mixed-tenure housing schemes on its land. The innovative deal structured as developer and long-term manager represented a pioneering model for local authority-led Build-to-Rent (BTR) schemes, aligning with national policy goals to expand professionally managed private rental housing.

The first site is widely acknowledged as the first UK scheme to secure planning consent explicitly for Build-to-Rent in the UK.
